From 2004 to 2007 I was a Ph.D. student at University of Konstanz as a member of the Algorithmics group of Ulrik Brandes and within the departmental Graduiertenkolleg.

I spent 6 years studying Computer Science and Mathematics at TU Clausthal. In the end I received my Diploma in 20 seconds (starting at 17:23).

In the old days I went to school, most notably to Tilman-Riemenschneider-Gymnasium Osterode and Grundschule Sösetal . I grew up in a small village called Nienstedt close to the Harz mountains.
Just across the Söse river the slightly bigger village Förste is situated - with Schüzenfest, a Soccer-Club , the Fire Brigade and a Skiffle-Band it surely is a center of German culture and cultural history (already more than 1000 years old).
